Optical Sensor Marketing Collaboration Agreement Signed 5 Sep 2006
Auxetix is pleased to announce that it has signed a collaboration agreement with Studio 1 Ventures, run by Chris Chapman and Dave Sandbach. This important agreement gives Studio 1 Ventures the marketing rights to a number of key areas in which they have considerable experience and expertise. Dave and Chris led the team that developed ground-breaking animatronic technology for ‘Spitting Image’. Since then they have specialised in technology and product developments incorporating switching and sensing technologies. They also founded the world leading company ElekSen (textile sensors) in fulfilling interactive wearable technology, which went on the AIM market for £20M last year. Part of their progress has been in taking fibre-based sensing technology and making it mass producible, including sourcing volume manufacture arrangements around the world. Through their careers they have developed products with Logitech, Orange, Microsoft, Siemens, 3i, Johnson Controls, Dunlop Slazenger, ESA and many more. Studio 1 Ventures are currently taking the Auxetix optical sensing technology to the toy, healthcare and automotive markets. |
